“There are as many ways to play music as there are people to play it. I explore music by using my own non-sense language. I am in constant search for sounds and imaginary words that have universal content. Singing these words turns my voice into an instrument. Sometimes the violin becomes a voice and the voice becomes a violin. The result may be an uncomplicated piece of music but hopefully something that speaks from the heart”

Edwin is passionate about exploring that grey area and working with the tension between improvisation and composition in new contemporary forms of worldmusic.
Edwin is founder of TRIBE, a laboratory workspace in which artistic work can be developed.
